HOW TO CONFIGURE PHONES.......

KOLLYLAD is taking AIRTEL NETWORK as a case of study..
FOR NOKIA S40 PHONES (JAVA) users.
THERE ARE SOME COMMON JAVA PHONES; Nokia 2330c, 2626, 2600c, 2630, 2690, 2700, 3110c, 5130c, X2, C1, C3 e.t.c.
Go to Settings
>Configuration >Open it and
Scroll to
>'PERSONAL CONFIGURATION
SETTINGS'
Open it and press Options, click 'ADD NEW'(for those who have Some Personal Configuration settings
Before)
But if you don't have any, when you open
The Personal Configuration
Settings, in the middle you see
'ADD NEW'....just press 'OK'
Select >Web
>Account Name=Name it
Whatever you want to name it
>Username=internet
>Password=internet
>Use Preferred Access Point=NO
>Access Point
Settings>Proxy=Disabled
>Bearer Settings
>Packet Data Access
Point=internet.ng.airtel.com
>Network type=IPv4
>Authentication Type=Normal
>Username=internet
>Password=internet
When you're through with that
Go back, scroll to your New
Personal Configuration settings, press
Options and activate it
STEP 2: go again to >Personal
Configuration Settings
>Add New
Then select
'>Access Point'
>Account Name=Name it
Anything you like
>Access Point Settings
>Bearer Settings
>Packet Data Access
Point=internet.ng.airtel.com
>Network type=IPv4
>Authentication type=Normal
>User name=internet
>Password=internet
Then go back to Personal Configuration
Settings and Activate it as
Preferred Access Point
That's all for your NORMAL
WEB CONFIGURATION.
NOTE: You MUST do the two
Settings and Activate Them
Before they can work for your Normal Web.

FOR NOKIA S60 PHONES (SYMBIAN) users.

Go to
Tools>Settings>Connection>Access Points,
When you get there, press
'Options'
>New Access Point
>Connection Name=Name it
With any name
>Data Bearer=Packet Data
